Groups with less than 18 participants:
We invite you to drop in or call ahead and reserve a table in our bisque painting studio. We have hundreds of pieces to select from with prices beginning as low as $6.00!
No experience? Our friendly and helpful staff will guide you through the steps of decorating your bisque pieces with the under glaze paints. Our staff then add a clear over-glaze and kiln fire your pieces. Your completed pieces are ready for pick up between 5 - 7 days.
Need decorative ideas? Bring your own inspirations and we’ll help you translate them, or visit our resource centre where you’ll find:

Sculpting in Clay
Participants explore form and scale, conceptual and critical thinking skills while building three dimensional sculptures and vessels. Instructors discuss the various techniques and tools for working with clay along with optional methods of finishing the pieces of sculpture and pottery once they have been kiln-fired to a bisque finish.
Minimum of 18 people 1.5 hour workshop $11 per person

Paper Masks
Participants explore form and scale, conceptual and critical thinking skills while building three dimensional masks from paper. Each participant creates an original mask as flat paper takes shape and comes to life using techniques such as folding, cutting and scoring. The power of using masks to communicate as well as the history and the cultural diversity of masks will be discussed.
Minimum of 18 people 2 hour workshop $11 per person

Handmade Books
Participants build a blank page book through ‘binding’. The book includes ‘signatures’ (pages) plus front & back cover. The history of books and the printing press are discussed over the period of the workshop. Participants take away a completed book which they can then personally decorate and use for story telling, journaling, autographs and more.

Print Making
Participants learn different techniques used for print making and then select one to create their own original printing plate. Line, shape and texture are explored as the instructor discusses original prints, reproductions and the printing process.

Bisque Painting
This workshop is excellent for either exploring ancient civilizations or for celebrating any number of cultural holidays such as Christmas, Hanukah, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s & Father’s Day, etc. All pieces completed in the workshop are given a clear over glaze and fired in the kiln, making the pieces water proof and fully useable.
Explore civilizations through their use of pottery over the ages. Participants use under glaze paints to decorate their pottery as the instructor discusses the pottery form and what images, symbols and hieroglyphs the civilizations would have used to decorate their pottery.
Is your workshop to celebrate a holiday? We have a large selection of themed and functional bisque pieces to choose from such as mugs, ornaments, candle holders, picture frames, vases and trinket boxes.

Sock Puppets
Perfect for younger groups such as Sparks and Cub Scouts. Participants learn and practice basic sewing skills while exploring the showmanship in every one as they create their own unique ‘being’ from a plain sock.
Participants are requested to bring a sock and adult volunteers are requested to assist in the sewing portion of this workshop.

Found Objects Sculpture
Participants create a free standing sculpture from ‘found objects’ while exploring balance, stability and mobility. The instructor discusses how structures remain standing using bases, foundations, balance, buttresses and support systems. This workshop is excellent for exploring the principles of stability in structures as well as increasing both conceptual and analytical thinking skills.
Participants are requested to bring supplies of found objects such as boxes, tubing, egg cartons, newspaper, yarn, buttons, etc.
