Opened in 1996 Crackpot Studio was designed to be a working studio for the community, a place where people of all ages can feel comfortable working and creating.

Crackpot’s Ceramic Studio is either quiet with contentment or filled with laughter as all ages of ‘artists’ and ‘aspiring artists’ put their hands and hearts to their creations.  Join the exciting atmosphere at Crackpot Studio and create your own masterpiece.

Design and paint at your leisure in an open and inviting studio.  No experience or appointment is necessary.  Friendly, helpful staff will guide you through the steps of decorating your piece of bisque (ready to paint clay pieces).  Paint, stencil or sponge your own original tableware, home and garden accessories or children’s items.  Our staff will then apply clear glaze, fire it in the kiln and call you when it’s ready for pick up. 

Crackpot’s Clay Studio is a fully equipped and independent facility where skills in hand building and throwing on the potter’s wheel are explored and evolved according to the student’s skill level in a relaxing and informal atmosphere.  Pre-registration is required for all clay programs.

Our teachers Cathleen Nicholson and Mandy Potter are graduates of the internationally acclaimed Crafts and Design Program at Sheridan College, Oakville.  They bring their extensive teaching backgrounds, energy, enthusiasm and their own artistic philosophies to the studio.
